Sitting here in my chair with my coffee to start my day, no lights on, in the dark. Worship music is playing. All is quiet outside. This is my favorite way to start my day, time with Jesus, worship music playing, coffee cup full, and writing my blog post.
As I sit in the dark because it feels too early to turn lights on, there is a light. The light of Jesus shines in the spiritual darkness. His presence is with us-ALWAYS. Jesus woke me up with a song in my spirit- What A Beautiful Name.
Zephaniah 3:17 says, “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Having a song in my spirit reminds me that the presence of Jesus is with me. It is such a blessed way to wake up and start my day.
Have you ever stopped to think about Jesus singing over you? We sing worship songs in churches to express our love to Jesus, but he also sings over us to express his love to us.
The sun is coming up now. After starting my day this way, I feel ready to go teach my newcomer refugee class and then perhaps go to my coffee shop.
