Having a peachy afternoon at the coffee shop. Sorry, okay not sorry, couldn’t resist when they gave me this mug to use.

Back here to do some more writing for my Christmas themed book. I hope to have it finished by the end of this week. The book is about a fictional podcast Luke has with different people from the bible about the birth of Jesus. Here is a snippet of it:

“Isaiah- Oh you mean Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God, Eternal Father?

David- and He will reign on David’s throne forever.

Isaiah- oh yes David. On your throne forever.

Luke- God made some more awesome promises about the child born of a virgin later in your writing.

Isaiah- He sure did. He promised that the promised one would bring healing, free the captives, proclaim the good news to the poor and more.

Abraham- Did you ever think at that time that some composer named Handel would write his epic Messiah based on what you wrote.

Isaiah- No, no clue but that is inspiring music for sure.”

I enjoy the writing process. I also enjoy blogging but it took a back seat to writing the past several days. I hope to catch up with fellow bloggers later today.

How are you all doing? I am still praying for many of you.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  4. Fun post!! Your books sounds like a good one!! And after reading your post I googled Handel’s Messiah and fell into quite the rabbit hole listening..quite satisfying!!

    1. Thank you little sister.
That would be a great rabbit hole- Handel’s Messiah.
In the 90s, some contemporary Christian singers got together and recorded Handel’s Young Messiah

  5. What an intriguing idea for a book! I wonder how many people know that the Christmas story is woven throughout the Bible, not just in Matthew and Luke? Such a clever idea–a fictional podcast–to introduce people to the ancestory of Jesus and the prophecies concerning his birth!

    1. Thank you Nancy.
The book is almost finished and today I had the idea of having friends help me record the lines for an actual podcast
