Colossians 3:17-
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Blogging an act of worship? Blogging fits into word or deed. If I blog to share Jesus, then yes it is an act of worship. But there can be more to it for me.

As I read posts by other bloggers, their posts can remind to me pray for them as I read their posts.

Posts by many blogs I follow share about Jesus and faith and stir my mind to think about Jesus.

While blogging at home, whether writing a post or reading other’s posts, worship music can be playing.

What do you think? Can blogging be an act of worship?

Update on the monster snow storm. It did not happen at least where I live. We had a whole one inch of snow. Gary of garyfultz.com would laugh at that. He lives in the frozen tundra in the Northern U.S. and in fact, I think he only sleeps in the house because that is where his family is. Otherwise, he would be more than content to sleep in the great outdoors in even arctic winter. 🙂

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Sigh…Matt, I’ve become a wimp in my older years. My house is good and warm. I even waited until the temps rose to -18 this morning so our little dog wasn’t quite so cold on the feet for his morning walk.

    1. lol no worries you still have your identity as the last of the mountain men 🙂

    2. Haha! Gary, you’re hardier than we are! Although Louisville is freaking out a bit, my husband, having moved here from Michigan, commented that we’d had a mere “dusting of 9 inches” yesterday. 😉

      1. Wow, that’s a lot of snow for down there. More than us. we are just in the deep freeze. It got above zero today….heat wave coming.

      2. Above zero? You are having a heat wave lol

  2. For me, blogging is my expression of worship, I hope to speak into others with my hope and confidence in Christ.

    Blessings and keep warm.
    No snow in me parts

    1. Wonderful that blogging is an act of worship for you. No snow? DO you want some? 🙂

      1. Not too much, just enough to say we got some.

  3. This is insightful.
Blogging can even be part of fulfilling our Great Commission

    1. Amen to fulfilling the Great Commission

  4. Happy snow day to you and hello, Gary, too! I was thinking of you all today as I “hunkered” down with the weather. I even shared one of Gary’s photos with my little grandson down in Texas as they “pack up” to move into their RV before headed back to their Alaska Life the end of the month. He was practicing “drilling” a hole for ice fishing, Gary, LOL.

Brother, your website reflects your relationship with Christ. My lesson this morning, besides my devotional, was from Revelations.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3: 20.

Am I lukewarm in this bitter cold? Ah, the blogging CAN be worship, my friend. Also, what a great platform to share your faith! There are times my posts are a bit more…personally “fluffy”; but at my core? CHRIST.

I listened to John Eldridge’s podcast (catching up on a few on this thing called, “Youtube” lol). What’s at our CORE? Did or DOES church grown my intimacy with Christ? I have a topic I want to write– “What’s the point?” If the POINT of my life is just…comfort, than I’ve missed it by a longshot, Matt. You don’t miss the point. It’s not about doctrine, theology, traditions/liturgy, “pop” psychology, “self help”, and a 12 step recovery ….IF all of these things don’t increase my intimacy with our Heavenly Papa. Ah, the fall from Eden, the RETURN to Eden…running to HIM and the ultimate wedding feast for those of us that truly know HOME.

Your blog is evidence of your RELATIONSHIP with Christ. WORKS? Well,…some might think we get to heaven because of them. DO? IT’s DONE. The price was paid. I believe we will be rewarded for the things we have done and will do. Our works come from our faith–it’s a heart condition isn’t it? You, brother, have a heart for Christ! THANK YOU for sharing it with us! And on the days you share about a good coffee shop, guess what? I STILL know your heart so sip sip hooray to that, too!

Happy Sunday to my WP family. Even better, my family in Christ!

    1. Little sister your comments are always fun and welcome 🙂

Hunkered down- How much snow have you had? Do you try nature walks in the snow?

      1. Happy Monday! Thank you for such a kind response!

We didn’t get much snow here–about 2 inches? But the windchill is near 0. The cold temps make it much harder than the snow for me! I typically love nature walks in the snow! However, today, my body and bones (and a few icy patches) are keeping me “grounded”. Perhaps I’ll be able to get out later in the week. I didn’t sleep well last night and Finn (and my!) tails are dragging just a bit!

My mind is wrapping itself around an amazing video I watched in the middle of the night when my eyes wouldn’t allow me to read. I’m going to post the video sometime–I don’t quite know how I want to introduce it, but it was something that I feel should be shared. i’m praying about it!

I pray YOU are well today, brother! Also, for continued healing and good health! 🥰🙏🏼

      2. With what you are dealing with tails dragging a bit is completely understandable and in fact I admire you.

I just started a new YouTube channel and shared my first video today 🙂

  5. For sure! In all we do, do it as unto the Lord by speaking truth and pointing others to Him. So thankful you stir our minds to Him as well, Matt! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thank you Summer You are so kind 🙂

  6. I think sharing the word of God, and God’s love for us are acts of worship.
Here on the East Coast, we are expected to get snow tonight. They are predicting 6-8″. I would be very happy with just one inch of snow. ☺️❄️🌺

    1. Hope you only get that one inch snow 🙂
AMen- sharig the word of God is an act of worship

  7. Big Brother Matt, this is a great message. Since you used one of my upcoming topic and title “Blogging is an act of worship” I have to change my title. #spiritualmindsthinkalike.

    1. 🙂
I am sure it will be a good post
