Samantha Ebert lives with chronic illness, Lymes Disease and Myositis. It is out of her health struggles and her faith in Jesus that she wrote the song Flowers.

When we struggle in life, if we give our struggles to Jesus, he can make something beautiful come out of it.

As someone who lives with chronic illness myself, I appreciate Samantha’s story, faith and music. I know what it is like to seek God while living with chronic illness.

May this song bless you on this Sunday.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  2. Dear brother Matt, we are on the same “heartwave” on this one. Dear blogging friend, C, from Nuggets of Gold, sent me this song two Sundays ago and I wept. It’s in my playlist. I forwarded it to several friends fighting illness. THANK YOU for sharing, brother. I pray you are well. God bless you!

    1. I am on the mend from bronchitis almost back to my normal. Getting ready to preach at New Breath the Unkrainian church. How are you?

      1. I’m so glad to hear you are on the mend, brother. I’ll keep praying. I’m sorry!
I’m so happy to hear you are going to preach!
Thank you for asking. Would you believe I’ve had the flu for two days? I woke up Friday around 3am with chills, aches, fever…now it’s congestion and runny nose. My head hurt so bad I couldn’t read or write or do much of anything.
God is working in huge ways. Life is filled with unexpectedness (from plane tragedies to just daily life). I’m keeping an eternal perspective and my eyes on glory, Matt. The dreamer in me is even looking at camper vans. I don’t feel I “fit”–perhaps that’s a good thing, brother. God doesn’t need me comfortable–he needs my heart and soul. I hope that teaching too much isn’t going to hurt my immune. I see greater things coming on my blog and ministry of “me”? FOR HIM. Not for me. But I don’t know how that looks right now. Sorry to type so much–but I know you understand! Many blessings and prayers as YOU GO about being HIS hands and feet, brother. God bless you!

      2. You are in my prayers little sister. Sorry you have had the flu. I just over it but it became bronchitis which I am getting over now. Sending you prayers, hugs. God will reach people through you little sister.

      3. Thank you, brother. I’m sorry for you, too. I’m watching mine closely as it’s moved a bit to congestion/chest stuff. I’ve got a call in with the dr. I’ve not quite had this kind of stuff before. A bit worse than Covid–but I’m here!
God is using you, too. Here we go, brother! Let’s continue being vessels (even unhealthy ones? lol) for him!

  3. Beautiful. Have a blessed Sunday!

  6. this song moved me to tears recently while I was driving with difficulty due to Lyme disease. I had no idea that’s what you suffered from and that’s what inspired it. Thank you for writing this.
