It was three years ago today that Russia invaded Ukraine starting the war there. Tragically so many people have died, so many people have lost their homes, whole cites have been destroyed, and so many people have been displaced.

It has been my privilege to meet Ukrainian refugees who have come to my city. It has been a blessing for me to teach them, help start a Ukrainian church here, and get to know some very good friends.
I love spending Sunday afternoons with my friends at New Breath Church. We have enjoyed some special events together.

Alekseyi and his family feel like they are my family. Alekseyi is my fellow coffee, kebab and hamburger fan. I have been blessed to visit their home often.
But with all of the blessings that have come about because God has arranged for me to meet my Ukrainian friends, I know that they would have much more preferred there had been no war, no loss of life, no loss of their homes and cities. And for that, my heart hurts for my Ukrainian friends.
Praying for an end to the war.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
