There are times in ministry that all one can do is empathize, listen, and point to Jesus. Such was the case for me yesterday at New Breath the Ukrainian church I help with.

This post is not meant to be political at all. Just sharing life with my Ukrainian friends.
My Ukrainian friends are quite dismayed after the meeting that transpired last Friday. Their hopes seemed dashed for peace for Ukraine. My friends fled the war, many of them have no home to return to there and many of them have lost loved ones.

So yesterday it was time to listen, empathize, not offer anything but point to Jesus and pray. It was time for bear one another’s burdens. That is my reality at times with my friends from many countries. Having no solutions myself, I can only listen, empathize, point to Jesus, and pray with them when they receive troubling news of back home for them.
I am still praying for an end to the war in Ukraine. In my spirit, I constantly want Jesus to come back because ultimately only then will there truly be peace on earth.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
