Paul Harvey was a great Radio broadcaster in days gone by. One broadcast I always enjoyed was his The Rest of the Story that he ended each time with- “Now you know the rest of the story.”

A few weeks ago, I shared a post, A Tale of 2 Gardens, comparing the Garden of Eden and Gethseame the garden where Jesus prayed before his arrest and crucifixion.

The story of the gardens does not end with Gethseame. Because of Jesus dying for our sins and breaking the curse on nature, a brilliant wonderful future is ahead of us. Included is the ultimate garden. We read about in Revelation 22:1-4.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb  down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

There will be an eternal garden in the presence of God and we can be there in that garden if we place our trust in Jesus as our Savior.

As Paul Harvey would say-“Now you know the rest of the story.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  3. The tree of life must be bigger than California’s Sequoias if it can stand on both sides of the crystal river! And how amazing that the same tree will produce a different fruit crop each month! I can’t begin to imagine what else our heavenly Father may have in store for us!
