Think about all of the billions of people who have lived in this life or are living now. Such a small fraction are remembered by anyone beyond their generation and the overwhelming majority remembered only by family and friends. It brings to mind Isaiah 40:7-8.
“All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the Lord blows on them.
Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”

It could be a discouraging thought but then I think about what Jesus said about us in Luke 12:7
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
So though in human history we are insignificant and we are finite, God knows us, all of the billions of us, to the point even the hairs on our heads he knows the number of.
And what Psalm 8:3-4 says
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

In the vastness of space and time, God is mindful of you and me. God knows your name, how many hairs are on your head, all about you and me. God loves us so much that Jesus came to be our Savior.
Think about that- God Knows Your Name.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
