It happened again yesterday at New Breath Church. My Ukrainian friends seem to be giving me a hint. Two of the young people complimented my shirt. One of them told me the reason- “it’s not blue.”
Why would she say that? Perhaps because my normal outfit is a blue shirt and khaki pants. In fact there may have been times a shirt is on sale as in summer clearance, and the price so low, that I have bought three or four all the same in blue.
Because of the input from my young friends at New Breath over the months, I have expanded out the other colors. I even figured out how to do so on Amazon so I do not need to go into a store and do the dreaded deed of shopping in a store.
Perhaps you are thinking of the classic verse for this scenario of Proverbs 27:17-As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
That might be applicable. What I do know is that we are created to live in relationship with God and with others and in such relationships growth happens even for a man who has worn blue shirts almost exclusively for years.
