It feels like I blinked and July is finished. Our cool down for today after another round of thunderstorms has me thinking about fall, but I know, we still have August to get through.

No class today means a relaxing day for me. No big plans for my day just a day to spend time with Jesus, blog, maybe go for a walk, and probably take a nap.

Speaking of Jesus, I have been reflecting on how much more faithful he is than I am. He is always knocking on the door of my life through music in my spirit, worship songs. I wish I could say I always respond, but that is not the case.

Jesus is always with us just as he promised. He is faithful and true, so there is no end to his friendship. He is the friend who is closer than a brother. He is the friend who laid down his life for us and defeated death for us. He is the friend who will share his victory with us and bring us to heaven.

Jesus also took naps while he was on earth, so I am sure a nap will be in store for me today. 🙂

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. There is no end to Christ’s friendship. ❤️ If I had a heart emoji three times bigger to share I would. 🤗 Enjoy your day: hot coffee, a walk, and a nap. Sounds like a plan!

    1. It ended up being two naps lol.

  2. Glad you get some breaks Matt. We have a 1-day reprieve on the heat today. Yesterday I took a college student from Africa fishing…he thought 90 degrees was about right. He also caught his first fish ever as he is from the desert area. Now I could use a nap.

    1. It would be interesting to see if your friend would try ice fishing with you this winter 🙂

      1. He is going south for the winter…I think he used the word “Insane” and other similar words to describe people who live with snow.

  3. Yeah July was over in a blink

  4. What a friend we have in Jesus is one of my fav hymns
