Saying I am thankful for doctors and therapists feels a bit strange for me considering how many appointments, tests, sessions etc. I have had over the years. This year has been no exception because of edema in my legs. I had three heart tests, kidney test, blood tests, abdomen CT and nothing showing the cause. So five weeks into therapy at a lymphedema clinic here I am writing I am thankful for medical providers.

I am even more thankful that Jesus has given me strength over the years to teach, have a ministry for refugees and immigrants, and to just live life while living with chronic illnesses.

My favorite medical providers? Nurses. When I see a nurse or student nurse in a coffee shop, I like to joke with them to remember my face and if I am ever their patient in a hospital to bring me chocolate ice cream. 🙂

Coffee shops by the way are on hold for now. Three therapy appointments a week is not only costly but time consuming. The coffee shops will still be there when I finishe therapy.

What are you thankful for?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
