Sunday was a wonderful day and not just because of the cooler weather. I have to admit though that with a day of cooler weather, I had thoughts of fall coming. 🙂
Fall, College Football, My Morning Class 🙂 🙂 🙂
My home church has been in the process of searching for a new lead pastor. Our current lead pastor has been in his role for 40 years, so searching for a new lead pastor was uncharted territory for the majority of our church members. After a months long process with much prayer, the Lord led us to the man he had chosen. He came Sunday July 14 to visit and speak in church. This Sunday the voting members overwhelmingly approved at 97%.
After church it was lunch with my friend Phuong from Vietnam. We went to Piedmont Bistro. It is such a blessing to spend time with my friends from other countries. I had a Bison Burger and thought of my fellow blogger joypassiondesire.com because she loves burgers, so here are pictures of me and my burger 🙂

In my Sunday morning class, we are reading from John. We read from John 4 about the Samaritan woman that Jesus interacted with at the well. I love sharing the passage with my international friends because we can talk about how Jesus loves all people and has no prejudice. Even though Samaritans were looked down on by the Jews at that time, Jesus walked into Samaria and talked with a Samaritan woman. That was also unheard of at the time for a Jewish teacher to speak with a Samaritan woman.
The story is also great for talking about how even though Jesus knows all about us, he loves us and comes to us. He did so with the Samaritan woman by letting her know he knew she had had 5 husbands and the man she was living with at the time was not her husband and yet Jesus explained to her about knowing God and having eternal life.
So Sunday filled me up spiritually, emotionally and yes physically with the burgers.
How was your Sunday?
Thanks for reading. God bless.
