Alathia of alathiahayes.com shared a wonderful post about her goal for the New Year. It is- My One Goal for 2020. In her post she shared about wanting to give grace to herself.

That has been a similar thing on my mind as someone who lives with chronic illness but is also in ministry. I tend to want to forge ahead and push through the fatigue and other symptoms.
However, especially in the past few years, I have come to realize I need to temper my driven self a bit. So I plan to incorporate a little down time each day for relaxing instead of waiting until I can’t possibly go any further. That may mean focusing on quality not quantity.
So one theme verse for me from the bible will be in Isaiah 40:31-
“but those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Relax in the presence of Jesus listening to worship music each day in the afternoon. Even take a nap if I have to.
So that is one of my goals. What are some or one of yours?
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
Thanks much for sharing. One of my goals for 2020 is to improve and grow in my prayer life.
That is a wonderful goal 🙂
Thank you my brother
You’re welcome little sister 🤗
Thanks for the reminder, my friend. My goal this new year is to find something for which to be thankful in every situation. Thanksgiving every day of the year.
That is a good goal 🙂
As a person who is extremely hard on myself it can be a struggle to allow grace for myself. Only God gives grace therefore I can only reflect the grace God gives, to others as I receive it for myself. It’s impossible for me to extend grace to anyone else if I first don’t receive grace for myself.
so true little sister 🙂
Rest is a good thing, and quality over quantity is always best. Hope you are refreshed as you take more time to rest. I want to make sure I’m continuing in obedience and listening carefully for God’s direction and stepping out in faith as I’m lead.
I am confident you will little sister 🤗
A great share big bro. Mine is to keep my identity in God alone and to keep moving forward. Yes and resting in God. 🙂
Great goal little sister. ❤️🤗❤️
