The school district for my city has decided to not have classes all of Thanksgiving week. That is due to an uptick on COVID cases resulting in us being in the red, severe risk, on the dial.
So that means this week I will not only be teaching my morning class, but also preparing for a possible return to remote learning after Thanksgiving week.
2020 has certainly been a roller coaster of a year.

I am so thankful for my first experience teaching English in Constanta Romania in June 1997. During our training weekend at my church, the two men helping us prepare repeated a phrase they told us would be essential to remember during our time in teaching in Romania. The phrase was Be Flexible.
That has stayed with me over the years in both teaching and in ministry among the various cultures in my city.

Be Flexible has certainly been tested this year more than any other year. This week will be no different as I teach not knowing if we will be remote learning after Thanksgiving week or back in the building.
I am thankful for the one eternal constant who has been my source of strength mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through this crazy year. Jesus has carried me through it so far and he will continue to do so.
Amen. God will never leave it forsake us! Thanks for the encouragement.
Amen he will never leave us
Amen and Amen!
🙂
Roller coaster indeed. Has shown the dark side of social media. Cant even imagine the anxiety people must be feeling that have no faith.
I have thought about how concerning this time must be for those who only look to government or science.
Waoh. I read about the increased numbers and prediction too, yesterday. My prayer is with you all.
God is at work in you and through you. 🤗
Thank you little sister. How are you?
You are welcome. 🤗
I’m good. And you?
Amen to spiritual flexibility Matt! Though age and a bad back limits me physically, I can in fact do all things He calls me to do spiritually if only I will stay fit in that regard.
Betsy and I are praying for your teaching endeavors, no matter how they take place.
Chuck
Thank you for praying.
Amen. Praying for you Matt.☺👍
Thank you little sister. How are you these days?
I’m so glad you asked. https://wp.me/p9Oy4w-N2 when you can.🤗☺
I have always wanted to teach children in other countries, online..but alas, you need a BA Degree which I don’t have and am not planning on getting.
Praying everything works out.
Thank you little sister
Roller coasters keep our hearts pumping. If our hearts are pumping, we are alive. enjoy the ride my friend!!
Amen 🙂
Praying for you Matt! It’s been such a hard week here as well. I’m hoping these “circuit breaker” lockdowns help and that by Christmas we can at least have a bit of family time. I’m so glad that Jesus is enough and that he has given us online community as well!
Thank you for praying. Hopefully we can have a normal Christmas
Praying for all students, teachers, and families during these roller coaster days. From my own teaching days, I totally agree with the need to be flexible. The past several months have underlined “flexible” in bold print.
Thank you for praying!!!
I’m so glad you’re faith is carrying you through! Thank you Jesus! Prayers through the rides of education during these times. 🙏🏻
Thank you for prayers 🙂
Amen!! Stay healthy!!
🤗🤗😇
What a great encouragement! Be Flexible, but also, God always finds a way. Even when you think that there is no way – he finds one. So we have to be prepared enough to be flexible and accept the different ways that he finds for us to succeed. 🙂
Great point little sister
Be flexible…..that’s something to ponder about… 🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩
