It is Father’s Day in the USA. I would like to wish a Happy Father’s Day to the dads who read my blog. May your day be blessed. I would like to give a shout out to a few dads whose blogs I follow and who at times share about being a father in their blogs.

David of davidsdailydose.org is a dad and an educator.

Gary of garyfultz.com is a dad for a daughter with special needs.

bereavedsingledad.blog shares his journey as a single dad for a son with special needs.

Whenever Father’s Day comes around, I think about how grateful I am that Jesus blessed me with the opportunity to share his love and be the one to pray with my earthly father as he trusted in Christ while in a hospital bed. I shared about that in Forgiveness From Me Led to My Earthly Father Receiving Forgiveness From God.

Most of all each Father’s Day, I am so grateful that God is my Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for the truth of Romans 8:15.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Happy Father’s Day

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

    1. Thank you David.
What are your Father’s Day plans?

      1. Nancy and I went out to lunch after church. I thanked one my spiritual father figures, and texted the widow of another. Then, I came home and relaxed in my back porch hammock, read scripture, and prayed.

      2. and nap in the hammock too?

  4. So far it’s a good day here in the woods Matt. I think wood ticks and mosquitoes should be more respectful on fathers day though.

    1. Maybe it you make a meal out of them it will scare them from making a meal out of you lol

      1. I doubt it. They are too much like people and don’t learn from others experiences

      2. How big is the biggest mosquito you have seen?

  5. An inch long…that’s the goliath of the mosquito tribe

  6. A blessed post! Matt, thanks for sharing these vital Scripture references. I opened up the link to read about the journey you and your Dad during his final months. God never wavered in His plan to bring the two of you together. Blessings.
