Sunday morning my pastor said something in his message that got me thinking. He first talked about a conversation with his 8 year old son and then mentioned his thought of how he is 40 and his son is 8, so he knows more than his son. Then he mentioned how God could think, :”I am countless billions of years old and you are ______.” Fill in the blank with your age.

God created everything there is. He is eternal, so one billion years is nothing compared to his eternity. God is omniscient-all knowing. God is omnipotent-all power. So the question is, can God help us? The obvious answer is yes, But the second question is, do we trust him to help and to know better than we do?
If we really stop and think about who it is we are praying to, who he really is, would it make a difference in how we pray?
Another thought that seems important to remember about God who has all power is how he describes himself. That can make a difference regarding if we trust him. Jesus described himself in Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Gentle and humble of heart. Jesus has all power but he is gentle and humble of heart in how he relates with us. That is a gentle giant to the nth degree.
After pondering these things, does it make a difference in how we come to God in prayer?
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
