Woke up with the song This Is The Air I Breathe in my spirit. I am at the end of another bout of bronchitis. It is interesting how much a simple thing like breathing can lift a person’s mood. It causes me to reflect on how God created us. He formed Adam out of the dust and breathed life into him.

Looking out the window I see we are having some much needed rain. Yes rain not snow. If the weather forecast is true, we won’t have snow for Christmas which is okay by me.

I am going to do some more editing for my upcoming book. One change will be the name of the coffee shop. I had used the name The Harbor in some because that is the coffee shop where I wrote my first short story. But as I was meeting with my friend Alex about making videos from some of the short stories, I realized using the name of the coffee area in my church would be fitting. It is called Solid Grounds. That will connect the videos with my book.

I am recovered enough from bronchitis to go ahead teach my Newcomer Refugee Class this morning. Then it will be off to my coffee shop to do some editing and catch up with my fellow bloggers. A trip to the post office will be in order as well to send off a package to a friend in Kenya.

The weekend is upon us and I look forward to what Jesus has in store for me this weekend.

What are your Friday plans?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  6. Hello, brother! Yesterday was our last day of school until 2024!
I look forward to catching up with my blogger friends and writing some myself.
    Blessings!

    1. Enjoy your break brother. Jesus, relax, drink coffee, spend time with your wife and eat cookies are my prescription for your break

  7. I like the unique names of both coffee shops. Both reach out with a Gospel-centered theme. It is good to hear that your bout with bronchitis is entering its final chapter. This past Friday morning, my wife and I enjoyed a walk at a nearby mall. We’re becoming one of the regulars who do so throughout the week. We usually schedule two mornings to visit this smaller mall, and there is a welcome treat at the end of each walk. Krabby Koffee invites us in for coffee, soup, and an occasional baked good to share.

    1. Coffee and soup are great for a December morning but I think I might be allergic to malls lol

  8. Merry Christmas, Matt. Did you get snow?
