One of those Christmas songs that is solely sentimental is White Christmas from a movie long ago about a ski resort wishing for snow. Snow for Christmas used to be my dream when I was a kid, but as I get older, not so much. Snow means hassles that come with it.

Nevertheless, it snowed here in my city Lincoln on Christmas Day. We had 3 to 4 inches of snow. It was preceded by a few days of rain that if it had been snow, it would have been an amount equal to the snows people up north get. Those people are probably smiling and laughing at me after reading this.

Fortunately for me, my Christmas celebration was on Christmas Eve with my Ukrainian friends. We had worship service together and then a meal. We had wonderful fellowship, good food, and fun watching children receive bags with candy.

Thanks to generous fellow bloggers, the meal and bags of candy were provided. Alekseyi and Ruslana also visited families in need on Saturday to give them Walmart gift cards. So my Christmas Eve was special knowing my Ukrainian friends were blessed.

Christmas Day I stayed home, took naps, and stayed warm. The snow fell and left a blanket of snow. I may venture out today but not enthusiastically so if I do.

Snow came on Christmas Day here, but it wasn’t my dream. 🙂

How was your Christmas?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

I am glad you could watch online

  2. Our snow is turning to rain…or ice. We are getting your weather. Then it will snow again tomorrow.

    1. Do you use snowshoes? just wondering
I can envision you using a dog sled in the winter up there 🙂

      1. I have 3 pairs of snowshoes (and use them). The Alaskans (big ones) can stay up in 3 feet of powder.
No dog sled for me. I might put tracks on the ATV though.
last winter we had 30 ” on the ground by now.

  3. It was a nice surprise for Christmas 🙂

  7. You had white Christmas but I am so sorry that it was not your dream. I do hope it will get a bit warmer. At least you got some rest on Christmas day. Enjoy the rest of your holidays.

  8. I love a white Christmas, unfortunately we haven’t had the pleasures of a beautiful snow fall, lol!! Makes me miss home as I love the freshly scene of first snow falls and Christmas lights. Christmas was beautiful as I was blessed to see yet another day ♥ Pray all is well with you? Have a blessed day!!

    1. Snow and Christmas lights are beautiful to take in. I am ok. How are you?

      1. I’m doing well, trying to gather info for move ♥ and get some writing this evening ♥

  9. We had snow as well as I mentioned in a previous message. I didn’t mind it, it’s when it begins to melt that I become a bit of a Scrooge, I don’t like the muddy mess it creates and the salt from the roads that clings to my vehicle. 😅

    1. You don’t play in the mud? 🙂

  10. We experienced warm, fall-like temperatures, and of course, no snow. Enjoyed fellowship with my Ohio family while my Montana family enjoyed a bit of snow . . . especially a grandson who is almost two years old.

    1. I think the snow is on its way to you 🙂

  11. I think we had the warmest Christmas ever for the Midlands. It was 11 degrees and a guest of mine turned up in shorts! We had Mass on Christmas eve and a Christmas eve morning worship celebration. Christmas day I was cooking for and enjoying another 8 guests for dinner and other friends visiting.
