Christmas Eve was a time that angels rejoiced during the Christmas Eve service at the new Ukrainian Church-New Breath. As Jesus said in Luke 15:10:
“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
The worship was wonderful even though I did not understand a single word because I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as we worshipped. What made it so special was that one of the men, Ruslan, a refugee from Ukraine, trusted Jesus as his Savior during the service. He came to know Jesus as his Savior on Christmas Eve.
That was the best Christmas gift for me. The older I get the less I need more things. Being single the holiday trappings part of Christmas do not hold much meaning for me. But to be of service in sharing the gospel is a gift for me and to see someone come to know Jesus as their Savior on Christmas Eve is the best gift for me.
New Breath as a new church is small as is any new church but God is working. Three souls have come to know Jesus as their Savior in the past four months. I look forward to seeing what Jesus does in the coming year.
