As a child during the 1960s, I remember seeing Dr. Martin Luther King talk on TV and the impression he made on me. The city I grew up in had very little diversity at the time, but hearing what he said made so much sense to me. Some of the things he said stayed with me and helped shape the values I have today which serve me well in my ministry for refugees and immigrants.
In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Day, my Music Monday video is Tasha Cobbs’ You Know My Name. Tasha Cobbs is one of my favorite singers. Jesus has blessed her with a powerful voice. You Know My Name helps me to remember that Jesus knows us, he sees us, he loves us.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
