Just finished at my home church and was blessed by so many things, seeing my friend Luis from El Salvador, the worship, and the message. One blessing that also caught my attention was seeing our church values posted in writing in two spots.

I love the values as they speak to ones I have long felt and tried to follow in my ministry with refugees and immigrants. The people I meet are just like me, people in process, but some have not started the process with Jesus yet, some have but have had very difficult circumstances. I also try to remember that I am in process as well.

I love the last one. We are sent. God has sent me to the various people groups in my city and has also sent me on eleven mission trips to other countries.

This afternoon I will be at the Ukrainian church and this week teaching classes and meeting with people. This afternoon and this week I will be sent and it is a great blessing.

How is your Sunday?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. What wonderful visions and MISSION ~”We are sent”. Brother, keep up the beautiful work in spreading the love and promise of his Kingdom! It’s been a wonderful Sunday. I had a very “normal” weekend~I’m living in constant gratitude, Matt. I was able to go to the grocery store and buy food (thank you, God), even visited a Farmer’s Market this weekend, had a beautiful morning of worship, able to read and write a bit….now I’ll relax for some game that I will watch. But mostly, praising, connecting, and “being”. I’m so happy you’ve had a blessed day! Please take care and have a wonderful week too on your mission work! Peace and blessings be with you!
