Another year around the sun completed gives me pause to reflect a bit. I am thankful that the past year Jesus has given me the privilege of helping a new church start, New Breath the Ukrainian Church, that two more books were published Lifted Out of the Pit/Called to the Nations and Encounters with the Ancients, that Jesus gave me the opportunity to share about my book Jesus Understands Trauma at my church, and very thankful I have been able to continue teaching.
Just yesterday I taught a Welcome Class for new refugees. A young married couple from Ukraine was there. After class, I called my friend Pastor Alekseyi, so the husband could talk with Alekseyi. I also showed them a video of Alekseyi’s daught Abigail singing in church.
This evening will bring the blessing of having dinner with Alekseyi and his family. Tomorrow after church it will be a blessing to have lunch with friends from El Salvador and Venezuela.
It is popular to share things learned with the number things learned being the same as one’s age on such an occasion, but being 22 plus years old, the list would be too long. so the one thing I would share is what Jesus said in John 3:16.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
My desire is to continue to share about Jesus with people from all over the world.
