It is Father’s Day in the USA today, so I would like to wish the fathers who read my blog a Happy Father’s Day. Time for barbecues and picnics with families or perhaps your favorite meal.

On Father’s Day, I think of how Jesus constantly called God father as in father for all who believe in Jesus. Numerous times Jesus used the phrase Your Father when talking to people about God..

One of my favorite passages from the bible is Romans 8:14-17

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory

It is a great blessing to be adopted into God’s family when we trust in Jesus as our Savior.

Again Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads who read my blog.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
