Anthonia of beautyfile.co.uk shared a post today about being judged by others due to people we associate with. Her post is Should You Judge Someone By The Company You Keep? She raised some points that caused me to think about how I would be judged based on those I spend time with.
If people were to observe me, they would see me spending a lot of time with refugees and immigrants. On any given Sunday, one would see me in worship service with my Hispanic friends, at lunch after worship service in a small Hispanic restaurant with my friends, and then at New Breath the Ukrainian church.

During the week, one might see me at the college interacting with students, at a coffee shop interacting with anyone there, telling jokes. connecting with them briefly.
Bu then there are my go to friends. They are the ones I look to when I need advice, need help, or need encouragement.
Jesus was judged by the religious leaders for keeping company with sinners. he would go into the homes of people and have dinner with them. But they did not consider why he was with the people. He was with them to bring them to knowing him as their Savior.
I have been in the homes of people most would not spend time with. It is because my desire is to hopefully share Jesus with them. That and the fact that other cultures are interesting for me. Oh and the food is usually really good too. 🙂
So I am not sure what other people would think of me by observing who I spend time with, but ultimately, it is what Jesus thinks that matters most to me.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
