Last night, I watched the movie City of Dreams. It is set in the back drop of Los Angeles and shows the horrible reality of children and adults who are trafficked to work as slaves. Yes, it happens here in the USA too with people forced to work in sweat shops.

It caused me to think about hundreds of thousands of children who have been trafficked into the USA the past three years. It caused me to feel righteous indignation about children being so horribly treated, about a government that has turned a blind eye to it these past three years, and about American companies that benefit from the brutal treatment of children.
It caused me to realize I need to better research which company’s products I buy to make sure my money is not supporting this evil. It caused me to realize I need to pray more about this evil.
Children need to be protected and safe. Children need the blessing of people watching out for them. If you want to know what Jesus would think of children being trafficked, look no further than Matthew 18 in the bible:
He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
