October is World Mental Health Awareness Day. I am glad to share this today because it is important that people do not feel alone in their struggles.

Last year for World Mental Health Awareness Day, I shared this post about Jesus Understands Anguish.

In my book Jesus Understands Trauma, I share about how Jesus though being the perfect Son of God was made complete through his suffering. Because Jesus lived in this life, at a hard time to do so, and experienced various kinds of trauma we encounter, he can empathize with us.

Jesus invites us to come to him. He said in Matthew 11:28

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. “

The invitation is for all. No one is excluded from Jesus’s invitation. If we struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, Complex PTSD, OCD, or any other form of mental health issues, he invites us to come to him.

There is hope. It is okay to not be okay, but help is there for us so we can become okay. Pastors, counselors, trusted friends, people who want us to reach out for help.

Please do not sit alone with the struggle. It is not only okay, but wonderful to ask for help. There is hope. Jesus has all power, loves us, and wants to help. We only need to ask him.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
