Sometimes I read a post that is so fitting to where I am at in life or where I was earlier. I read a post by Bridget Thomas- Pouring Out Your Hearts in His Presence. It was exactly what I had done this morning.

Living with chronic illnesses, Psoriatic Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, etc, means living with chronic pain. At times, there are flare ups. I am in the midst of one of those. On a normal day my pain level is about a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. But this week it has been hanging around at 8 or 9.

So this morning, I spilled it out to God, my frustration. Then I prayed, AGAIN, for the strength for the day, listened to worship music, and prayed for others. Then I was ready for the day.

My friend Luis gave me a ride to the pharmacy so I could pick up my prescriptions, and then dropped me off at my coffee shop. So here I sit, still in pain, but attitude much improved, blogging and soon will start learning some Ukrainian.

Being is God’s presence helps us to refocus on God not on our situation. We might experience what is a miracle to us, or we might go forward with the peace that only Jesus can give.

Bridget’s post is excellent, so please click on the link above and be blessed.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. In Jesus name I command the pain to leave Matt. According to John 10:10, the thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy but Jesus comes to bring abundant life. He heals all our diseases, Psalm 103:3 “Who pardons all your iniquities,
    Who heals all our diseases”

  2. It is good you made it out to your coffee shop 🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. Thank you for the kinds words and the share. But I’m really sorry to hear that your pain has been higher this week. I am praying for you, Big Brother. I really love what you said about, “Being is God’s presence helps us to refocus on God not on our situation. We might experience what is a miracle to us, or we might go forward with the peace that only Jesus can give.” This is so true. No matter what, His presence is a gift that will strengthen us. I needed this reminder too. So thank you for encouraging me too today! God bless you!

  4. May the Lord grant you relief from the pain, and cover you with his grace when it comes.
