It is Election Day here in the USA. Just got home from voting. I am grateful we have the freedom to vote and all U.S. citizens 18 and over have the right to vote. No matter the outcome, however, Jesus is still Lord and I trust in him not government.

I was thinking about the difference between our elections and when Jesus comes back.
In our elections, we vote for who we want, but who we want may or may not win the election. Whoever is elected is still a flawed human being. I voted for the one whose policies I support, but still my trust is in Jesus not government.
When Jesus comes back in his kingdom, we still have a choice to make before he returns. The choice is whether we want to trust in him and receive him as our Savior. Once we make that decision, we are in his kingdom. His return will be a joyful occasion for all who know Jesus as their Savior.
However, his kingdom will not be a democracy. He will reign as king and his reign will be one of holiness and love.
So yes, I voted today, but the most important choice I ever made was to follow Jesus.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
