God ways are not our ways. Jesus left heaven to come to earth born as a human baby in humble circumstances. He did not come as a conquering king, not the first time, but he will at his second coming.

Jesus came to us in humble circumstances a baby lying in a manger, a feeding trough, in a stable His manger however, leads to his throne. Philippians 2:5-11 says:

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

 Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
 rather, he made himself nothing
    by taking the very nature of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
 And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
        even death on a cross!

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
    and gave him the name that is above every name,
 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
    to the glory of God the Father.”

Jesus humbled himself for our benefit, died for us, defeated death, and now sits on his throne in heaven. What we celebrate at Christmas is how he humbled himself, but the story does not end there. It is an eternal story that culminates with him on his throne and all who have trusted in him being with him forever.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
