Rise up is a theme that has been coming to me recently almost to the point that it seems perhaps God is telling me Rise Up after the hard times.

I love this song as it reminds me that the one who had the stone rolled away and called Lazarus back from the dead, after he had been dead 4 days, and the one who defeated death through his resuurection-Jesus- is still at work.

He is still rolling away stones in life, freeing people to follow him, giving strength to the weary, and more.

I love how Paul put it in Philippians 3:12-14

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

My desire for the coming year is to Rise Up in Jesus’s power and continue to live for him sharing his love.
