When I watch one of the movies or shows of life long ago, one thing I am grateful for is that I was not born then. Think about how rough life was even one hundred years ago and how much harder it was five hundred years ago. I am thankful for modern conveniences.

Yet Jesus chose to come at a time when life was so much harsher than it is now. In God’s eyes it was the right time. Galatians 4:4-5 refers to it was the fulness of time.

“But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship”

God had set the time for Jesus to become a human baby. The timing for the plan was full. Jesus came at the right time in God’s timing.

He came for a purpose to become our Savior.

That was my main thought this year during Christmas.
