At my doctor’s office Monday, one of the admins was in her office with her elementary school age daughter. The admin was holding a puppy. I asked what the puppy’s name was and the daughter told me they just got the puppy yesterday, so no name yet. I suggested Gandalf and the little girl excitedly agreed. So I helped name a puppy.

A student Medical Assistant doing her practicum was with the nurse. When they came in the exam room, I realized a young person needed some humor. So I told her one joke. She laughed which of course encouraged me to tell some more jokes.

As I interacted with my doctor, I realized that me using Web-MD or Google to try to self diagnose is not so accurate. I had diagnosed myself with a few different life threatening possibilities and was way off. 🙂

That was the start of June for me. Here we are. It is June already. No trips abroad planned. Will there be any adventures for me like in past Junes?

Living for Jesus is always an adventure. Who will he connect me with this month, this week? What opportunities to show his love will come my way?

Stay tuned. The adventure continues. 🙂

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

Sounds like June is off to a great start already. Sometimes the best adventures are the everyday moments and the people God places in our path along the way.

  3. Amen, brother!! I’m here with you on these adventures~ even if you don’t “see” me daily. I love the puppy’s name! You’re a gift and light wherever you go! Journey on, Matt! God’s light and love shine through you! Even in humor and teaching! And of course, coffee! ☕️

    1. You are so kind little sister.
      Coffee this morning 🙂

  4. I love the puppy’s name too! I also love the way you interact with people, Matt–always seeking to lift the spirits of those God puts in your path. / Couldn’t help but notice that two out of three commenters above mentioned coffee. We love our coffee too. I think we currently have four different blends, to add variety to our consumption! (Have you ever tried the Highlander Grogg flavor? DE-licious!)

    1. I need to look for Highlander Grogg 🙂

  5. Brilliant name for a dog. God bless.
