The school where I teach my morning Family Literacy Class arranged for staff to buy T-Shirts at a discount that will have the name of the school on the back. I bought one short sleeve and one long sleeve because I love the message on the front.
CHOOSE KIND
It is an excellent message for school kids to see but also for any person-child, teen. or adult.

Kindness is so desperately needed these days. It is a mistake to think of kindness as being weakness. Kindness is listed as one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit and since the Holy Spirit is omniscient and omnipotent being part of the Godhead-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I don’t think anyone could mistake the Holy Spirit as being weak.
Choose kind is one of my themes for this year as we enter the election year in the U.S. There will be a lot of bickering and heated debating, but not by me. It is not because I lack strong views and values. It is because I don’t see any usefulness in arguing over it.
When we show kindness to others, it can open doors for sharing the love of Jesus. My desire is to show the kindness of God to others. I love the verse in Ephesians 2:
“in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in hisย kindnessย to us in Christ Jesus”
God expressed his kindness to us in Jesus. We did not deserve God’s kindness, but he showed it to us anyway because of his grace and his love for us.
I am looking forward to receiving the shirts and wearing them at the school and elsewhere. More than that I look forward to continuing to express God’s kindness to others.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
Politics in America could use a big dose of kindness. I dread the bickering and nasty ads on tv and radio that an election year brings. I agree, let’s choose kind and share a smile.
Amen
Amen! I love this! My wife is a teacher at our kid’s school. I’m going to tell her about this. All the kids would love that shirt and they would love spreading that message of kindness. Great idea! God bless!
Thank you ๐
Thank you wife for me for being a teacher ๐
I love this! My son talks about being the โIโ in kind, Itโs a motto they use at school๐
Good motto ๐
Yes! Your post goes right along with my theme for 2020 to grow in love: patience…kindness…gentleness…compassion. They all go happily hand in hand. ๐ Very nice post, bro.
Thank you little sister. I like your theme ๐
The fruit of the Spirit indeed go hand in hand ๐
I really like that shirt. Kindness and a smile can go along ways. And I agree arguing is useless and for Christians it can destroy our witness.
Yes it can.
You have a wonderful smile little sister ๐
Thank you big brother! ๐
I love that t-shirt and the message!
Thank you ๐
I’ve had so many people who work with the public – a pharmacist, a friend in customer service, etc. – tell me that they are shocked at how some people treat them. I think we all need one of these shirts!! We should perhaps send one to all our politicians as well! ๐
Amen make the politicians wear them ๐
Oh I love that t-shirt!! That looks like a good theme for our lives! So true! Itโs always better to choose kindness over the hatefulness some potray
Yes kindness over the hatefulness especially now
Amen ๐
Matt, your discussion reminds me of a song released by Tim McGraw, “Gentle and Kind.” The song’s message parallels the message on your shirts.
I love this a lot โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ Itโs very inspiring and nice โ๏ธ. It is a great honor to be in your blog ๐
