Have Fun with Me- Have You Ever and a Blogging Tip

A few weeks ago, I went over 10,000 views so far for the year. For each 10,000 views I like to try something fun. Thought I would do something a little fun to break up the monotony of staying at home. I have seen videos of vloggers do it, so not an original idea, but still fun.

The idea is for you my reader/follower to ask me questions of -Have you ever? I will answer them in my post on Friday. I will of course accept only appropriate questions. If I answer your question, I will include a link to your blog as the person asking the question. This will give you an opportunity to network a little.

I want to thank all of my followers and readers for reading, liking and especially commenting on my posts. I enjoy interacting with my fellow bloggers.

Now for a blogging tip.

I have read some nice posts recently by bloggers who I felt could have more followers and views if they did something that takes very little effort.

I noticed they did not have categories for their posts. By using categories, if someone does a search for that topic, there is a chance you post will show up. Also you may notice when you read someone’s post that there are little blurbs from similar posts by other bloggers. That is because they used categories for the post you read used.

Again thank you to all those who follow my blog, like my posts and especially to those who leave meaningful comments and interact with me.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Smiles. That is a great one – 10,000 views!.
    Yes, having Categories help. ๐Ÿ’ฏ
    My ask:
Have you ever hosted a lunch or dinner and you cooked without having a take out? ๐Ÿ˜

  2. Ok so I usually just put one word (faith) under โ€œcategoriesโ€ and then under โ€œtagsโ€ I list all other appropriate description words for that particular post, but should I be doing it differently?โ€ฆ By the way that is not my question for you LOL….

My question is: Where is your most favorable place that youโ€™ve ever traveled to, for missionary work or leisure?

  3. Congrats on hitting the 10K views mark. Thanks for the blogging tip. I like your idea, and for starting a virtual social mixer. Sadly, I haven’t the foggiest notion of a “Have you ever. . .?” question. Hope you get a lot of folks connected.

    L-RD Bless, Keep, Shine. . .

  4. I didn’t realize that about categories. I’ve always used them to organize my blog, but that’s so good to know! Okay… my question for you is have you ever been to Canada!? If you have, you have to say more than just yes lol. You have to say where in Canada, and a bit about your adventure. And if you haven’t been to Canada you better explain why? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Did you expect my question to come with rules? Lol. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  5. I have seen you come up since about 300-ish followers to over 1100. I’m so happy for you. Maybe you could make a post sometime discussing how you grew in popularity. From my third party perspective, I think the reasons you grew so much so fast are #1. frequent/consistent posting, #2. high level of engagement with other bloggers, #3. genuinely interesting content. The three ingredient to a successful blog! Congratulations, brother! ๐Ÿ™‚

Have you ever preached a sermon?

  6. Hi Matt, I was just curious – have you ever written a post that you later regretted posting? Congratulations on the 10,000 views! ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒบ

  7. Thanks for the blogging tip, categories are additionally good for your blogs SEO so you want to definitely include them. Don’t use too many or it could have the opposite effect on SEO, I always stick to one. Wishing you a wonderful weekend ๐Ÿ™‚
