Bee Love Award

I would like to thank my little sisters Beverley of and YBP of for nominating me to the Bee Love Award.

Beverley shares her faith in Jesus in her blog and encourages others in their faith. YBP has a fun blog where she brightens people’s days. They are both good blogs to check out.

Guidelines for Bee Love Award:

  1. Attach the Bee Love Award logo on the top of your post, or you can use it as the post’s featured image.
  2. Pingback to my site.
  3. Thank you to your fellow blogger who nominated you.
  4. Nominate your fellow bloggers.
  5. Write your definition of true love.

True love is not something that fades away such as the emphasis on falling in and out of love in today’s culture. Love means commitment, seeking the best for others, devotion, and is sacrificial.

To understand true love we need to look to the one who showed ultimate love. In John 3:16 Jesus said:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

We have to experience this kind of love before we can express it as it 1st John 4 says:

“We love because he first loved us”

Think about the example of Jesus. He sacrificed himself for us. He loves us even though we are a mess. He lifts us out of the pits and He empowers us daily, hourly, to grow to be more than we thought possible. That is love.

My nominees if they choose to participate are:

  1. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:13). Thank God, He calls us His friends. This is true love. I am blessed by your definition of love. Thank you.

      1. I am going to pray for you. I think I will do better to pray for you. The word arctic send chills through my bones. I cannot imagine how cold it will be. Stay warm, my friend. πŸ™‚
One question to you: Do you think a warmer climate would help with your chronic illness? I have heard of people who do better in warmer climates. I guess though that it would be even more difficult for you to leave your home, family, friends and job.

  2. Graceful share. God’s love just sums up the everlasting love we can ever seek for and model.

    Congrats big bro. πŸ€—πŸ’ƒ
    Happy valentine’s day bro. πŸ™‚

And thanks for nominating me. 😊

  3. Congratulations Matt for sharing this with all of us. Apostle John writes often about the love of God for us. There is no greater example of love! His light shows us the way to experiencing love with Him as well as with others.

I appreciate the honor of your nomination. God’s peace!
