September is here and the beginning fall in a few weeks as well, but true to form in Nebraska, we are experiencing the hottest week of the year. Yes it is heat wave time. Most of my life it has been the same in the first part of September but the cool down comes.

September is one of my favorite months because we do eventually cool down and also College Football and Volleyball start.

This month something else will start for the first time in my life. My friends at New Breath decided I need help. so they will help me with cleaning and shopping. It is humbling to admit needing help due to physical limitations from living with chronic illness, but then I think about the desire of my friends who I have helped being concerned and wanting to bless me as well.

The limitations have not stopped ministry and teaching. I have often said as long as I can talk, I can teach and share about Jesus. Yes, there are times I get around church and the college using my walker and yes the rest of the time with my cane. But Jesus gives me strength to be a blessing.

On this hot day however, I will stay in the air-conditioning and watch college football.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Greetings my bother. Have a great day.

  2. Correction. “Brother”

  3. Yes, sometimes it’s hard to admit we need help. But, thanks be to God who knows what we need, and then supplies it by touching another heart to help. Take care, my brother in Christ. I am glad you are not alone. The heat is abysmal everywhere it seems, in Georgia, too.

  4. The fact that we sometimes need helpers is a common theme these days. It’s also a blessing to be a helper, and this is certainly what you are, brother! Enjoy the a/c and football today. No coffee?
