As I look at the stats for my blog specifically the map that shows the different countries people have viewed my posts from, I am grateful that through technology the world has become a smaller place. I have been blessed to travel to many countries on ministry trips the past 20 years, but through blogging I can connect with people from so many more countries. The same is true as I teach English.

I share a lot about my experiences with people from diverse cultures and countries. For me interacting with my international friends is fascinating, but there is something more to it than my own personal interests.

For example this morning I will see friends from Haiti, Iraq and Japan in my Saturday morning ESL conversation group. Each week when I see them, I am reminded of something Jesus said in John chapter 3:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

I think about that bible verse often when I teach English in any setting. God has blessed me with the opportunity to share and show his love with people literally from all over the world and as I do so, I feel a piece of that love he has for my international friends.

So when I woke up this morning, the first thing I did, well second thing after pouring my coffee 🙂 , was to pray for this morning for Jesus to help me show his love to my friends this morning.

There are so many troubles in this broken world and so many damaged lives because of it. I can’t take care of all of them, but I can show God’s love to people from many places in my little corner of the world.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for reading.

God Bless 🙂
